Director of Missions, Dr. Michael J. Young, Sr.

Dr. Young is married and the father of three children and the grandfather of six. His wife is Sandra Joyce Masters Young. She is employed as a manager with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Tennessee. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Trevecca Nazarene University, and International Bible Institute and Seminary. He served as a pastor from 1977-2000. He has also served as a Children's Pastor, Associate Pastor, Interim Pastor, and Baptist Campus Minister. His last pastorate was Salem Church in this association from 1991-2000. He has served as the Director of Missions of the association since November 2000.
